Obituary – Dewi Morgan

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our friend and colleague Dewi Morgan, Tenor 2, Life Member and Past Chairman of Dunvant Male Choir. Dewi died on Wednesday evening after a short illness, and his death has come as a great shock to us all.
His enthusiasm for every part of choir life was truly hard to match. As PRO for many years, Dewi worked tirelessly to make sure his beloved Dunvant Male Choir was never far from the newspaper columns or the airwaves. He became Chairman in 2015, and one of his proudest moments was representing the choir at the Menin Gate during the Service of Daily Remembrance in August of that year. Outside the choir, Dewi worked for many years at Trostre Steelworks.

Above all, Dewi was a loyal chorister and a loyal friend, and he will be fondly remembered by all of us who had the privilege of singing alongside him.

Our heartfelt condolences go to Diana, his children Ruth, Richard and Robert, and all his grandchildren at this very sad time.
