Hitting the High Note

Helping Wales hit the right note at last
Could Dunvant Male Choir be just the lucky charm that the Wales rugby team need to end their losing streak?
The last time Wales won a home Six Nations game was back in February 2022, beating Scotland 20-17. On that day, Dunvant Choir stood on the Principality Stadium pitch, leading the National Anthems. Now, after three years, the Swansea village choir are back and ready to try to inspire Wales to reverse their disappointing Six Nations form.
On Saturday (March 15), as Wales take on England at the stadium, the choir will once again have the honour of singing on the pitch—this time, joined by the fantastic Risca Male Choir. Could history be about to repeat itself?
“It is always an honour and pleasure for a Welsh choir to sing at a Wales rugby international, but Saturday could be something special,”
“We remember with fondness singing before Wales’ win over Scotland in 2022. Unfortunately, there has not been a Six Nations home victory since then. Hopefully we can do our bit to change that.”
