Colin Jones – Obituary

We are deeply saddened to share the news that our much-loved choir librarian, archivist and Tenor 2, Colin Jones, has passed away peacefully after a period of illness.

Colin was a life member of the choir, and his dedication was matched by few. A studious and thoughtful chorister, he brought immense care to everything he did — from meticulously carrying out his duties as choir librarian with unwavering diligence until very recently, to lovingly creating his own editions of sheet music for his beloved second tenors.

A stickler for procedure and a guardian of our musical standards, Colin’s quiet commitment, reliability, and deep love for the choir left an indelible mark on us all. He will be hugely missed, and we hold his family and loved ones in our thoughts at this sad time.
