Norma Rees


The choir is saddened to report the sudden passing of Mrs Norma Rees, formerly of Reynoldston.

She was the widow of Top Tenor, David W Rees, but continued to help a lot with the Choir Ladies Section.

They have three children a daughter and two sons. Both sons are involved in Dunvant Rugby Football Club, Ted as First Team Manager and Jon as Second Team Physio.

The funeral will take place on Thursday 5th January, 1pm at St. Hilary's Church, Killay and 2.30 pm at Swansea Crematorium.

Friends are invited to join the family for light refreshments at Dunvant Rugby Clubhouse, Broadacre after the services.

The choir send their  condolences to the family.

MD, Jonathan, reviewed the "Remembrance Charity Concert" of the previous Friday, and welcomed four potential choristers to the rehearsal.

What a good rehearsal we had, although a different venue we soon were at ease picking up some of our Christmas repertoir for the first time this year.

Choir rehearsal (6.30 pm for 7 pm) next Monday (14th November) takes the form of an open recruitment rehearsal at Dunvant RFC Clubhouse Broadacre (SA2 7RU).

If you go to our normal rehearsal venue at Olchfa School - you're in the wrong place.

Please bring your Christmas Music with you, especially "De Virgin Mary had a Baby Boy", "A Winter's Tale" and "In the bleak midwinter".

Bring your friends with you and enjoy the singing and the social.

No pressure, but it could be what you're looking for!!
